Microsoft Flight Simulator will be available for Xbox Series X|S from July 27 and is available now, as a pre-order on the Xbox Store. Microsoft promises to deliver the same great graphics, the same realism and the same authentic flight simulator experience on console as on PC.
Flight Simulator 2020 will be available as part of Microsoft's Game Pass Bundle and will be released including the already released world updates. Future updates for the sim will become available for both PC and Xbox.
This also includes the Top Gun: Maverick expansion pack which Microsoft announced for November 19th, 2021, to celebrate the release of the new Top Gun movie.
The best way to experience Flight Simulator 2020 on Xbox Series X|S is with a flight controller. This offers even greater realism compared to the Xbox controller.
Microsoft, together with hardware suppliers, is working hard to develop flight simulation hardware for Xbox Series X|S as well.
At the moment there are just two controllers which are compatible with the Xbox Series X|S. If you're looking for an affordable Flight Stick and Throttle your choice would be the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One. When opting for an Xbox flight simulator yoke, the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight Control System might be a great choice.
